Data Deletion

This page explains how Smart Scanner users can request deletion of generation history, request history, saved content, and other user-generated data without deleting their entire account.

Data deletion is available from inside the Smart Scanner app and by email if you no longer have access to the app.

1. Delete Your Data from the App

  1. Open the Smart Scanner app.
  2. Sign in with the Google account used for Smart Scanner.
  3. Tap the profile icon.
  4. Tap “Manage Data”.
  5. Tap “Delete History & Generations”.
  6. Follow the confirmation steps shown in the app.

2. Request Data Deletion by Email

If you no longer have access to the app, you may request deletion of your history and generated content by contacting us at: smartscanner.support@gmail.com

Please include the Gmail address used with Smart Scanner so that we can identify the account concerned by your request.

3. Data That Can Be Deleted

When your deletion request is processed, Smart Scanner will delete the selected data associated with your account, where applicable, including:

  • Generation history and generated images;
  • Request history and AI interaction history;
  • Saved prompts, captions, and generated text;
  • Uploaded photos, images, documents, videos, or audio files related to deleted requests;
  • Saved scans and processed content;
  • Bookmarks, favorites, and saved generations;
  • Other user-generated content linked to the selected data.

4. Automatic Data Deletion and Retention

To improve performance, storage management, and privacy, certain user-generated content may be automatically deleted after a period of time or progressively removed as part of Smart Scanner's data retention policies.

This may include generation history, generated images, generated text, prompts, request history, uploaded files, temporary processing files, and other content created through the app.

The retention period may vary depending on the feature, storage requirements, security considerations, or service improvements. Content may therefore be removed automatically without a specific deletion request from the user.

5. Data That Is Kept

Deleting history, generations, or other user-generated content does not affect your Smart Scanner account.

The following information is generally retained unless you specifically request account deletion:

  • Account information and profile data;
  • User ID and authentication records;
  • Subscription and purchase history;
  • XP, rewards, achievements, and progression data;
  • App preferences and settings;
  • Security, fraud-prevention, and compliance records where required.

6. Data That Is Not Deleted

Deleting your history and generations does not delete your Smart Scanner account, profile information, subscription status, purchases, reward balances, settings, or other account-related records.

Some technical, security, backup, fraud-prevention, payment, or legal records may also be retained where necessary.

7. Processing Time

Data deletion requests are generally processed within a reasonable period after verification. Backup copies and security-related records may require additional time to be removed and may be retained for up to 90 days or longer if required by applicable law.

8. Reversibility

Once deleted, history, generated content, uploaded files, and related data may not be recoverable. Please ensure that you have exported or saved any information you wish to keep before requesting deletion.
